Lake Country Classical Academy (LCCA) is an independent public charter school and is honored to be the first Hillsdale College Member School in Wisconsin. The Hillsdale K-12 curriculum provides the architecture for LCCAs academic program that emphasizes a foundation in liberal and civic education and the core disciplines of math, science, history, and language arts, including phonics and writing, with attention to music, art, and foreign language.

Job Description – Facilities Assistant
This is your opportunity to join a public charter school in the Lake Country area of Wisconsin. Lake Country Classical Academy is looking for a Facilities Assistant to work at their two campuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment and successfully and positively communicate with supervisor, members of other departments, parents, and vendors.
- Performs maintenance on exterior and interior of buildings, repairs or replacement related to plumbing fixtures, carpentry, electrical fixtures, etc.
- Maintains heating and air conditioning.
- Performs exterior repairs or replacements related to roofs, soffits, siding, gutters, downspouts, windows and screens, and more. Investigates and resolves maintenance work orders.
- Maintains sidewalks and parking lots by keeping them clean and free of debris in all seasons including some snow removal and salt application, if necessary.
- Serves as parking lot assistant during drop off and pick up times of students, and during daily recesses.
- Performs janitorial services at both locations. Duties consist of trash removal, vacuuming and mopping floors, and sweeping hallways. Must be available in the evenings and weekends during school events.
- Completes accurate paperwork, records, and documents.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Driving record in good standing.
- High school diploma.
- 1 year experience in a related field.
- HVAC, electrical and/or plumbing certificate is desired.

Job Description – Substitute Teacher
LCCA is building a growing team of regular substitute teachers that are knowledgeable about our students, curriculum, procedures, and teachers. This is a part-time, variable hour position and is not eligible for benefits. The work schedule is typically 8 hours for a full day or 4 hours for a half-day and may be at either of our campuses in Okauchee and Oconomowoc.
Applicants must either hold a current substitute or regular teaching license from the WI DPI or be able and willing to obtain a DPI Three-Year-Short-Term Substitute License. The license requires an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and appropriate training from LCCA.
Major Function
This is a classroom leadership position responsible for guided instruction and learning while following written plans for the day’s program of study. The substitute teacher ensures that the classroom and learning environment is welcoming, safe, and respectful. The substitute teacher collaborates with other teachers and administrators and communicates with parents and guardians when necessary. The substitute teacher assesses student learning and provides feedback to the regular classroom teacher.

Job Description – Instructional Aide

Major Function
The goal of an Instructional Aide is to support designated classroom teachers. This support takes a variety of forms. Examples include helping students stay on task and assisting them with assigned work, facilitating small group work, monitoring students (e.g., at lunch or recess), making photocopies, and other assigned duties.
The Instructional Aide’s essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Helping manage a classroom in such a way as to create an atmosphere characterized by order, respect, wonder, and joy.
- Assisting in the cultivation of good habits among the students through explicit instruction and personal example.
- Supporting instruction and assessment under the immediate direction of the classroom teacher.
