    • b)  School furniture donation: We have a few donations from the Greendale School District. Another opportunity came up with Oncourse Learning in Brookfield who found out about us from the Ojibwe – they have offered to donate 40 desks for teachers and 40 chairs. Value is $150k. We would need 20 for the classrooms. Kristina will meet with them tomorrow and see the furniture. There may be an opportunity to either donate or sell the furniture we don’t need.
    • c)  Principal Search update: We have two candidates who we referred to Hillsdale. The first one was not recommended by Hillsdale. The second candidate was interviewed on Monday and has been passed on to Hillsdale for interviews next week.
    • d) Board committees to begin meeting next month: Next month committee meetings will meet prior to the board meeting. Committee meetings will meet at 6 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. board meeting.
      • Finance, facilities, & technology: A recommendation made to review the budget at the next board meeting and set aside time at future meetings. Additional suggestion to have an expense and revenue generated report every month. Kristina will follow-up with Bart.
      • Policy, communications, & fundraising
      • Ambassador’s committee (bi-monthly): Tim Peterson will be heading our AmbassadorsCommittee to help with fundraising. This committee will extend our reach with their networks to help raise money for LCCA.
    • e) Fundraising update:
      • We received a $200,000 grant from the William S. Knight foundation grant. We will be naming the LCCA Library in Mr. Knight’s memory.
      • We raised nearly $10k at the barbecue fundraiser on September 19, 2020.
      • We have online donation capability on our website via Paypal.
      • We are talking with someone who would be willing to research and write grant applications. Discussed options for compensation. Tim offered to guide any writers we would engage with for this activity.
