LCCA Board Fundraising & Communications Committee Meeting Minutes
Monday, Jan. 9, 2022, 10 a.m.

- Meeting called to order at 10:03 a.m. Per the Wisconsin Open Meetings Law, this board committee meeting was noticed in the Waukesha Freeman on Jan. 5, and posted on doors at both LCCA campuses, as well as the LCCA website.
- TLC Update:
- Funds raised to date:
- YTD, minus expenses, the TLC has raised just over$13K. The TLC will be paying for school’s Raptor System and expenses associated with Christmas concerts ($8K). $5K is currently left to pay for other programming.
- Sold LCCA ornaments ($965); Spirit Wear ($735); Lou Malnatti’s restaurant night ($236)
- Upcoming events:
- Mod pizza restaurant night on 1/26
- Mother daughter movie night on 1/27
- Water park night at the Ingleside on 2/16
- Dockhounds game on 5/26

- Fundraising:
- 2023 LCCA Gala update/discussion — Marlo McCormick, gala committee chair
- Kick-off meeting with gala planning leads this Thursday
- 2023 Liberty Gala budget is being finalized and will be presented at the Feb. FCC meeting
- Marketing materials are in development – save the date/sponsorship/procurement materials
- Emcee/auctioneer – Dan Schlax – has been secured

- Keynote speaker: in progress
- Planned Giving options – Tim Peterson has done some initial research on planned giving options including bequests, gifts that pay you income, life insurance, real estate /other assets, requirement assets, and securities. The FCC is sharing this info with school admin and will take next steps as directed.
- Donation tracker – has been created and should be utilized to track all progress/conversations with grants and Liberty Gala sponsorships.
- 2022-2023 Fundraising Plan/Strategy:
- Capital Campaign plan – Kristina is investigating feasibility studies/SWOT analysis and will be drafting a plan and timeline. Launch of capital campaign to take place at the Liberty Gala on June 2, leveraging the William S. Knight $250K matching grant.
