Meeting Minutes

Monday, April 17, 2022, 10 a.m.

  1. Meeting called to order 10:03 a.m.
    1. Participants:  Tom Branigan, Tim Peterson, Marlo McCormick, Kristina Vourax
  2. TLC Update (Kristin Franke via email):
    1. Funds raised to date: March Restaurant Night: Cousins came in for $119.78
  • Committed to contributing $4000 towards Margaret’s Leonard Sax speaking event planned for fall
  • TLC Coordinating/money coming in currently for:
  1. Upcoming events:
    • Fun Food Friday, 4/21
    • Week of 4/24 – Restaurant Night Papa Murphy’s & Bake Sale at Gallery night
    • Father-Son Golf event end of April – over 100 already signed up
    • Dockhounds tickets live for May 26 game – over half of tickets already sold
    • HS brewers game on May 13
    • Raiseright promotions ongoing
    • April Spirit Wear goes live tomorrow
    • Teacher’s Appreciation in early May
    • LCCA Oconomowoc 4th July parade on July 1 – building a team
  2. Fundraising:
    1. 2023 LCCA Liberty Gala update/discussion – Marlo McCormick, gala committee chair:
      • Ticket sales opened April 3 – 400 tickets total; 149 sold to date, and currently 86 tickets are still available. The balance (165) is reserved for event sponsors/underwriters.  
      • Budget update – all expenses are on track.
      • Marketing – social media posts & internal/LCCA family e-newsletter, The Revere; another push promoting ticket sales in early May once Tommy Thompson is confirmed.
      • Volunteers – most slots are filled, but still need handful of volunteers
      • Procurement – Joanne Timmerman (via email)
        1. Approximate value of silent/live auction items to date:  $31,000
        2. Unmet Wants/needs – Have no donations for Golf packages, limited “date night” items such as dinners out, no sports memorabilia- if anyone has connections.  
      • Sponsorships – Kristina Vourax
        1. Sponsorships confirmed to date (total): $94,200 (vs. $87,350 last year)
    2. 2022-2023 Fundraising – other
      • Grant applications
        1. Tim Peterson is working on a possible family foundation grant.
